M77 - Spiral Galaxy
M77 (NGC1068) is a Sb-type barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Cetus. It is estimated to be about 47 million light years distant. The faint galaxy at about the 2-o'clock position from the center is PGC 1154903. Click on the above image to see a full, uncropped view of the surrounding star field.

The above image is an LRGB color composite collected on the evenings of 28 and 29 December 2010 with a SXV-H9 monochrome camera through a through a William Optics FLT110 4.3" f/7 refractor. Exposure times were 126, 46, 50, and 48 minutes through clear, red, green, and blue filters, respectively.
