M8 - The Lagoon
Nebula
The Lagoon Nebula (M8) is located in the constellation
Sagittarius.
It is an area of recent or continuing star formation located approximately
4500 light years away. More information about this nebula can be found

Nebulae - M8. The image is a 30-minute exposure at the prime
focus of a 16" f/4.5 Newtonian using hypered Fuji 800 film taken on 29 July
1997.
